Specialisations

Basing ourselves on various sectors of economic activity and the nature of the documents we receive, we have honed many areas of specialisation over time thanks to the number of files we handle, the volume of pages translated and the individual knowledge of the translators/revisers used.

All these specialist areas have the following points in common:

A common, tried and tested working methodology.
The careful selection of staff who have in-depth knowledge of their subject area and familiarity with the relevant terminology.
An approach, organisation and Quality Assurance procedures designed to guarantee optimum quality.
The strict application of the highest quality criteria and standards at every stage of the production process.

At present, we cover a broad range of fields on a daily basis. In particular, areas such as European affairs, economic and financial sectors, the legal world, highly technical areas (information technology and telecommunications, electronics, civil engineering, chemicals, agriculture). Other specialist areas include:

European Affairs: a growing number of European and international organisations, including EU Institutions and a whole range of players occupying a strategic position in the economic, political and social life of the European Union, as well as many national and international companies, use ATTICA's language services on a daily basis. ATTICA is an accredited translation Bureau for the bodies of the European Union.
Legal affairs: private agreements, miscellaneous contracts, articles of association, commercial disputes, etc. Documents from the Court of Justice, which call for an in-depth understanding of European law when they refer to the various stages of the administrative or legal process (petitions instituting formal proceedings, defence statements, responses, rejoinders, pleas of inadmissibility, etc.), have helped strengthen the company's resolutely European bias.
Finance: in the field of economy and finance, many leaders whithin the banking sector itself, but also more generally from the public sector commission the Company to translate highly specialised documents. Sector-specific products: annual reports, audit reports, mutual fund periodic reports, etc.
Technical Industry: the reward of the demanding but essential job of preparing meticulous documentation, the systematic creation of specific glossaries and, where required, the consultation of experts, has enabled tour company to establish a place as an accredited supplier of major companies established in Belgium and abroad.
ICT sector: from press releases, internal communication documents and marketing papers to technical documentation and software localisation.
Medical translations: life sciences and veterinary. Medical scientific background and expertise, as well as thorough knowledge of the subsidiary area being dealt with are key criteria prior to language combination consideration. Regulatory aspects and country-specific legislation should be taken into account in order to complete the translation process successfully. From packaging material, medical notices and product catalogues to test reports, specialised publications and technical equipment documentation are just some of the subjects we have already handled.
Entertainment sector: client/project references include specialist leisure companies, web operators and books publishers, as well as publications aimed at children.
